remove the relic tower?

i was just wondering if maybe it would be possible to remove the giant tower on relic. i know you can't add to bsp's, but can you subtract from them?

I do not believe so.
For instance...
Even with part of it gone, the collision is still there.
But I don't know, someone may be able to remove the collision, and bam, you can get rid of parts of it.

Aumaan what did you remove exactly to make most of the tower dissapear in the image you supplied?
surely some reflexives or something in the chunk/s you deleted/nulled would point to a collision reflexive?

I have no idea. Tried to skin with Prey's Prophet, but it started freakin' out on me.
Some random shaders, I'd guess.

only thing i thought that for sure u can get rid of is the ramps on the sides of the front because in ctf for example there not there, same with coag. But im pretty sure you can't null the collision ect for the tower only shaders and stuff.

I believe those ramps are scenery and are only set to spawn on slayer. So yes they can be removed or even checked off for other gametypes if you wanted.
And I believe it is possible to null the collision on the tower. Now it would take forever to guess and check but it's possible. Each side of it's got it's own face. So no modding program will tell you which face it is in the map because it's got no string id. So lots of guess and checking. If you used a program called "bsp master". I don't remember who made it but I believe you can use this program to flip verts and faces on the bsp. Somebody correct me if you think i'm wrong.

on second thought, a big hole would look really stupid, and i probably would have no way of filling it in. so i'm just going to need to block it off. i can remove the ramps, but how might i put in some kind of wall to block off the other entrances?
just by the way, i'm making a warthogs only map, and the tower would only enable people to be... really lame.

hmmm... i can has cubes... but i won't be able to block off the ramps with cubes (at least keeping it reasonably looking) unless... can i make them invisible?

Ifyou use bsp master for lets say lowering the collision down to ground level then null the shaders for the base. It would seem to be gone.
But as i said there would be a unmovable, death barrier where the collision used to be. You could block it off with mach's or bloc's.
But if you pass thru any area where collision was altered, killed by guardians.
