Prophet of Regret question

Why is it that only melee works against the Prophet of Regret? I am working on a single player mod pack and This kinda has me stumped. Can someone fill me in on why Regret seems impervious to bullets but vulnerable to melee?

Are you asking how it's possible or rather why?

I'm sure the developers of the level containing the prophet decided to make it fun and give the ability to jump on the prophets throne and beat him to death.
For fun I would say.

I don't know, maybe it is something in his hlmt like very fast recharging shields, so bullets hit the shields but melee takes away health. Or maybe check the bipd tag for some kind of flag like "immune to bullets." It could also be in the prophet's flying chair. If I remember right, there's a part in the vehi or hlmt, I can't remember which one, that has multipliers for bullet damage and rocket damage and stuff. Maybe those are all set to zero for the chair.

SkgSkrillaka - I am wondering how it is possible? Is there a flag or some sort of value that prevents bullet/rocket damage? Sorry for not being clear the first time, I hope this clears things up.

medmoy - I will check around in the suggested tags some more. I looked yesterday but I didn't see anything. I may go over it with a fine tooth comb and see what I can find.

it is possible to just walk up to Regret and press B and hurt him. The only thing that will hurt Regret is a punch, regardless of where it is done.

All help is still appreciated.

Prophet of Regret have invulnerable shields that is impervious to projectile attacks. Only thing that can penetrate the shield is a lifeform to go through it, like a melee. The Prophets shields tech is different to Elite/Spartan shields so thats why the prophet of Mercy got infected by a parasise on "Gravemind" level and his shields didn't fry that bastard, lol.

this information is as useless as the person who originally posted it

EDIT: I figured it out, it was his coll. I swapped his coll with the master chiefs and now I can kill him with bullets and punches.
