halo 1 warthog physics?

i'm starting a new map, based largely on a gametype my friends and i have played for years called "h00g fight."
basically you can only kill people by flipping their warthog and splattering them. it works alright with halo 2's warthog physics, but it often ends up with both drivers hitting each other and... exploding.
in halo 1, however, when two warthogs hit each other, they go flipping into the air in spectacular fashion, with both drivers untouched. it makes for a ridiculous and fun experience. is there any way at all that i could get that same effect in halo 2?
also, i can't figure out how to duplicate objects (such as a warthog) in entity. (so i can have a lot of them on the map) how might i do this?
