Prophet Not Working

Post by Ar7ific1al »

Hello, all.. I seem to be having problems getting Prophet to run on my new installation of Windows XP pro v.v; It worked fine before I reinstalled XP, and I installed .NET Framework 2 AND 3, and it still gives me this error: "Prophet has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience." Again, I am running Windows XP Pro with service pack two, as was my previous installation, and I have installed all of the .NET framework packages. If rebooting my system is all I have to do, I feel pretty stupid lol However, all of my other modding programs, to my knowledge, work perfect. Please help me if you can. If you can no, please don't post =P

Try uninstalling older versions of the .NET framework. They may be causing conflicts with the newer version. Or since you installed xp, did you remember to install directx?

Hmm.. the DX, that makes sense... However, doesn't Entity's BSP viewer use DirectX? =P If it does, then... maybe Prophet runs off a newer release..? XD They don't exactly give system specs for any of these programs, ya know, so yeah.. ^^;

EDIT:: lol.. Thanks Kibito =P I had to install DX 2008 redist... xD thanks =D
