How do I install multiple dashboards?

Can anyone help me with installing multiple dashboards? I would like to know how I can use evox by default, and then have the option from evox to boot other dashboards like UnleashX.
I was messing around with evox and broke it anyway, I have some tools like multiple dash installer, but it's in spanish :p
By the looks of things that has a few dashboards pre-installed... but I would like to use my evox in conjunction with another dashboard.
I think I might be overlooking this, is it just a simple task of adding the dashboard to a new partition then adding stuff to boot.ini?
I've got no idea.

You shouldn't need to add anything to the .ini. Just put the dashboard folder into your apps directory in either your E or F drive. Evox should pick it up automatically. Only resort to editing your .ini as a last resort.

It tells me for the instructions with this dashboard, to copy the files to C & E, if I were to put them there it would overwrite parts of my evoxdashboard.
I presumed you have to put the files there or this dashboard won't work.
kibito can I discuss this with you on aim by any chance? I don't think halomods would approve of it.

Take a dashboard, put it all in one folder, then put it in the apps folder.
OH, and Evox should be an app and UnleashX/XBMC is your default.

I currently have EvoX as default, and I have xbmc as an app, it's been a long time seen set this up, I didn't even know xbmc was a dashboard...!
Why does it matter which one is default? Is UnleashX significantly better than evox? and if so how?
Thanks for all the help, truly appreciate it.

Evox can't do much. UnleashX is a much more powerful dash. I highly reccomend it as your main dash.

I personally use UnleashX
It saves me the hassle of not bothering to muck around with it at all
as others have said before
Just place the whole file contents of the dashboard into a folder straight into your apps folder
To find out which drive (and folder, deafult: Apps) shows your apps on your current dashboard, Go into C: drive and open config.ini
Now find the part where it says something like:
Code: Select all
<shortcut>
<IR_1>(Your apps drive):\(your apps folder)\Xbmc\default.xbe
<IR_2>(Your apps drive):\(your apps folder)\Xored\default.xbe
<IR_3>(Your apps drive):\(your apps folder)\Dvd2xbox\default.xbe
<IR_4>(Your apps drive):\(your apps folder)\evo-x\Default.xbe
Where it says (Your apps drive) and (your apps folder): Is basically where your guna shove your new dashboard folder.
I Hope I've helped
And i'm sure any other questions needn't be asked now

A little off topic aren't we? Anyways, they are still here. I'm not sure what you are talking about...

what I mean is...where are they. They seem to let topics like this stay alive. I remember back in the good old days, the mods would ban you so fast for talking about anything non halo 2 modding related. It kept the boards garbage free.
Besides, I don't think going off topic is anything bad in a topic like this seeing how a topic like this shouldn't be allowed to exist.
No disrespect to any other parties involved here but the "official" thing we should have told this guy is to go to xbox-scene and ask his xbox modding related questions there.

I was going to reccomend xbox-scene but I didn't think you could mention other non-legit halo modding sites on halomods

Halo2 modding is seeing the end of it's days. So I don't see the point in locking or deleting this thread. Maybe move it to the help desk forums or tech questions but ridding of it completely would just frustrate the user asking the question. There is also no reason this topic "shouldn't exist". He asked a question that could actually involve Halo2 in the end and it doesn't hurt anybody. There is no talk of where to get modified dashboards or anything related to it.

I agree.
I didn't need to post again
But I believe I answered the users question.
So this topic may aswell just be left,
or saved?
anything but continue it in my opinion
