The next Killtrocity map pack?
well not really but a Pro Mod map pack
packed full of fun pro mods that we made not someone else

I'm making some mods and I thought it would be fun to get a bunch of people to make a map pack with =D
*themed
*atmosphere
*skin
*effects
*sound edits
*spmp conversions
...... could go on and on
I just think that it would be fun to do something that could actually be something big
so I'll start a list

awsome added to the list
EDIT: rant from other site
xD we need people fast and I have this posted on 3 sites here halomods and remnant mods Ill add my AIM to the first post so that we all can keep in touch
Im hoping we can at least get 30 maps in this map pack but now I'm having doubts I was thinking this might help Halo 2 modding booming like the killtrocity map pack did but I know it wont be that bid but I'm hopeing if we get enough people into this we could accomplish something big... In case you were woundering yes this is a rant!
We need to be comfident and keep our heads up high there isn't much "PRO" modding going around now days and I also hope this might inspire some people to do the right thing and switch on over to the good side. I really want this map pack to come true but I can't nearly do this alone w/ all the maps mane menue and what not but I can give it a good push forword. THIS MUST BE FINISHED! if the Halo 2 modding comunity is to stay alive(not really, Just me) but I hope to accomplish something big and I need you guys to help this is not for me but for the comunity of halo 2 modders.

wow...
well im just a modder who came back for one last good deed to try and keep H2modding alive for just a lil bit longer
DemonicSandwich wrote:Yea, do you actually have any planned themes Seeing_Night?
for maps? yes

for the map pack? I was thinking the something like the last stand as in one last thing in modding, one last big map pack for the community but if we get enough people in this I was thinking we could have some sort of group discussion

The way these things tend to go....
* Everyone is fired up in the beginning. But then very little happens.
* It is difficult to coordinate with people. Some lose interest and become hard to get ahold of.
* Seemingly simple things take a very long time.
* The project dissolves with little to show for its existence.
Also keep in mind that school will be starting in 2-3 weeks for most people. That usually freezes modding activity for a good while.
My guess is the project is doomed, but it's worth a shot. However, I think you should focus on making mods right now, not forming the infrastructure and adding names to the list and starting the website and so on. Map packs come from maps. Build from the bottom up, not from the top down. Mods happen most quickly when they are handled as much as possible by one person, with assistance from others now and then. A mod where everyone does a little bit will most likely not see the light of day.
I am willing to contribute a mod or two, and help with ideas. But my mods tend to be exotic, not much at all like anyone else's, so forget about coherence.
Halomods and Remnant are enough. I think no additional website is needed. Let's see some names other than mine in the Downloads section, and then compiling a map pack will be more realistic.

the speach is nice but we already got everything taken care of
*got a site for hosting all the maps until we are ready to add them to the main menu
*someone is making the main menu
*everyone is making mods well, I know of some any how
*map pack name down: Infinity Map Pack
the onlything we really need to do now is make the mods :p
I like your mods and I would love to have you as an addition to the project
and lechatsauvage the map pack name is Infinity so you can make the site

thanks
@ _XLR8_ anything you can do is appreciated try to spend as much time as possible on 1 definite mod until you know and feel it's finished and maybe some of us can help along the way Im pretty shabby w/ effects :p
but you must agree that there will by no nooby stuff AKA run fast, Jump high, auto aim etc...

although I hadn't realeased any mods previously
I do have quite a few nearly-finsihed mods sitting around on my computer
I could try and finish them
but with school and all,
it'll be mighty tricky juggling multiple things at once
I'll help
