How do I add a charge trigger to the plasma rifle?

you can copy the trigger/s from the PP and overwrite on your weapon, I also think you can do it without copying to clipboard but I'm not positive, but (he says putting his brain in gear) you will be sacrificing automatic fire regardless of which way you do it, cos how would you charge?
the other way sacrifices grenade throwing by putting the charge trigger on left trigger (on your pad) and for this look for tutorials on grenade launchers or something

Just change the firing type from "Automatic" to "Semi + charged" in the weap tag. You can simulate automatic firing by setting the semi trigger to shoot 2 rounds per shot, and you set the chamber time to determine the rate of fire. So then you only have to push the trigger half as fast as the projectiles come out. But you lose the cool accelerating rate of fire the plasma rifle has.
Or, as bumlove says, you can clone a trigger and assign it to L and sacrifice grenades. I vaguely recall from my devious experiments that if you try to assign a second trigger to the same button and they have different firing types (e.g., 1 R trigger is automatic, and the other is semi), you only get the first firing type. So you can't make a gun where you hold down the trigger to get auto fire, then release to get the charged projectile.
Also keep in mind that a gun cannot shoot more than two types of projectile, so if you add a trigger that is semi + charged, one of those will have to shoot the same projectile as your auto trigger.

please think about it, you hold down right trigger and your pr shoots normally now how are you going to charge? holding down right trigger is already doing something, cpt's way is a nice work around because it can be tweeked further to fire more rounds per shot, I'm tired and my brain is thinking in a silly way but i'll have a look at option 3 that came to my mind but I promise nothing, other than I'll look tommorow

Does no-one know how to manipulate triggers properly? :l0l: I'll write a guide mb...
