suicide weapon
I've wanted a weapon of this kind for a while now, press one button and explode, I think it should be quite easy to do, a weapon that spawns an explosive when fired, making it autofire when ready (held), the idea sacrifices the option to hold a secondary weapon because how could you "swap weapon for" when equipping it kills you instantly, on the plus side it should stop double shooters (R R X Y..boom)
I don't want help with making it just want to know who people feel about the idea

oh yeah, trigger damage saves cloning a grenade thanks, (I'm not sure that would cause damage to surrounding players/area, oh well experiment)
what don't you like about it neodos? the fact that it sacrifices a holding a second weapon? or the fact it gives players an easy way out when out gunned?

there are a few occurrences where I think this may add to the game, the idea isn't to prevent double shooting thats just an added bonus,
Of course for this to be effective in being fair suicide point loss must be on
examples; the enemy has taken a good position and won't move from that point, so you grab an over shield and charge into their strong hold (under heavy fire) and boom! area cleared
the enemy is one point away from winning a slayer match, your shield is down and round a corner comes an enemy, boom! match saved for the moment
someones coming at you with a sword, you have a pistol, what do you do?
A blow yourself up instantly (point loss for you but no gain for the enemy)
B blow yourself up when the swordsman is within explosive range (point lost for suicide, point gain for enemy kill so you break even)
I'll have to play with it, I think instant explosion is too advantageous, maybe a small delay

Well if you want to kill someone else with in range, you could make the explosion radius bigger. I think it would work well.

I once thought about a suicide booth. I would have edited the model for the banshee, and placed it where the starting point on most Containment racetracks is. I've experimented with it, you do die the second you go in, but it proved to be rather pointless. Though it was kind of cool.
Just make it for fun, it shouldn't be too hard. Maybe do it on a campaign map and give all the Covenant a suicide weapon. Then you can run through and see how quickly you can beat it when all the Covenant do is kill themselves.

or better yet make the warthog blow up. Its really fun when playing a game of CTF and one guy goes kamakazi just to protect the flag. Or better yet make the banshee do that.
