Are Halo 2 maps just a model (things like the terrain without a skin) and if they are could u extract them edit and inject them to make your own map terrain tho you would need to skin it?

No; so far, we haven't been able to create custom BSPs.

dude, dude ..........just meh I'll tell you, bsps are at least 3 types of models, there might be more
1 what you can see =model
2 what you can shoot =coll
3 what you can stand on/run into =phmo

we can do 1 and 2 and thats just super, without 3 we keep falling thru the map, search "Custom bsps"

so atm it is impossible because we are unable to edit the [phmo] tag to the way we need it? might this also be a model file that could be edited? or bent to our needs?

I'm not sure about the specifics, but it's impossible at the moment.

The closest we've come is just placing "mach"s around the map.
Most of them will stay where you place them without moving, and they come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

yes i have seen maps made of the [mach] items especially in the Killtrocity Map Pack and Xtreme has good timing
