Why it not working

hey guys im having some problems with xsata i no you guys don't use it so you probably dont wanna talk about it but please help me. when i pull the cable out to reset the xbox after transferring stuff it dosent reset and i dont no why it done it before, so to see my hardrive i have to take off xsata every time please help me thanks
