AFAIK, no, custom BSPs are still not possible at this point.

I know its more than just this, i also know its intirely possible as well as halo1 bsps in halo 2.
Its just a question of how.
Ive made some progress in editing bsps (slitely).
And im working on a custom bsp of my own making, small, and, simple.
Ill let you know i i make any progress, in the mean time, any ideas you would like to share on this is appreciated

You could use a lot of machs in order to fake the collision.

So ... what?
Just make a huge rectangle piece of geometry, put like 100 machs under it and you'll have a huge open piece of nothing?

People have done a lot of things like that with machs. It would take a lot of work, but you could do better than just making a big thing like that. I'm sure you could use shared's bsp or something flat and null the shaders on it to use as the floor.

all this reverts too is, its a pain in the ass to try and do it in halo 2 xbox, first we need to figure out how to convert halo 2 vista to xbox then all we have to do is make maps with h2v and import them to xbox, walla new maps with full collision ect for halo 2 xbox.

ok currently you CAN NOT make custom bsp's, in time we might have the tools but for now we dont.
