The mysterious jpt!

The [jpt!] is really giving me trouble. All I want is a jpt with a radius of 2-3 that does about 10 damage and does not shake the controller or camera much at all. I don't think there is a jpt in the game that is set up that way by default. I've tried tinkering with the unknowns (and the knowns) and can't make any sense of them.

It seems that you cannot change the blast radius of a jpt. You can change the amount of damage that happens within its default blast radius, but the radius itself remains the same, no matter what you set the min and max range to.

Some jpt's only work when they are "on" you. For example, give a trigger response jpt a blast radius of 5 and damage of 100. It will only inflict 100 damage when you are directly on top of the jpt, or if it's the jpt of an impact. Nothing happens inside that 5 radius except at the very center.

Also, some jpt's will kill you (or inflict their default damage) no matter what you set the damage and blast radius to.

Finally, I cannot adjust the amount or duration of vibration and camera shake, even when changing the vibration values in the XML and ent plugins. I believe I have the latest plugins.

Soooo...
1) How do you make e.g. a grenade explosion only hurt you within a radius of 3?
2) How do you give a trigger jpt a radius greater than 0?
3) How do you keep an explosive jpt from killing you even when the min and max damage are very low?
4) How do you get rid of the camera shake and vibration, besides using a jpt that doesn't have them?

there is a part in the proj meta editor that says danger radius, I never understood what it was doing there, I'm not sure but it doesn't yet make sense being there
getting rid of vibration- delete the entire vibration reflexive (in a old version of entity with old plugins, you get ifp errors and a few of the usual broken idents with a newer entity, camera shake idk
Have you considered that auto fu..., I mean update could be at work on this one?

It's in the new entitys, in the jpt! look at the one you want, you will see vibration strenght set that to 0 and voila.

why dont you try exsperimenting with H2Guerilla you can create your own tags. Just amek your own jpt set everything to 0 then build, you caould make more and name them like \maxraduis5 so you know what one are wich then after making like 10 just mess around with it in entity.
