How to successfully remove Death Barriers.

I've been trying to remove the death barriers from the new maps Desolation and Tombstone for a while now. Nothing seems to be working. I saw a pack of patches here that states it will remove the death barriers, but the "source" map doesn't match the original when I try to apply it, and i get a final message saying created map does not match the original, Patch may be invalid. So I gave up on those patches and resorted to using the Death Barrier tool I found on here, and I got them removed, fixed encryption, and resigned with CMR. I ftp'd them to the correct spot on my Xbox, but when I go to play them I get failed to load map... What could be causing this?

You can remove them yourself pretty easily. Simply open your map in Entity, go to the scrn tag, switch to Meta Editor, scroll to the 'Death Barrier' block and set all the values to 0.
Switch those values to 0 :

And should I still fix encryption with DotHalo and resign with CMR?

That's the same thing. Use one or the other.

All my other maps work fine except for Tombstone and Desolation, but I'll go get a clean shared.map off my disc.
Edit: Still not working

dont you need a speacial programe to resign d/l content maps if not then try adding it to your main menu.

but then if I add it to my mainmenu, I can't play with people on XBC
Edit: With clean maps, it all works fine. It only fails to load map when i used the modded map. Any help please?

It's possible your map is over 80MB. If so, just open it in Entity 1.6 and set the maximum map size to single player, or shared.

Tdata maps must be resigned with the same original signature that they started with. I don't have the new maps, but I am sure that will work. ADI and Dothalo will tell you the encryption you need if you open a clean map.

highplains.map is 73.7 MB
derelict.map is 67.9 MB
Is there a certain application I'm supposed to use to resign the two new maps?

This is the only resigner I can find that will work. Under the "Custom" box, enter the original sig that you can find in ADI or Dothalo.

Thank you so much Monkey Terd, everything is working now

Also, is there an invisible wall as well as a death barrier on desolation?

I haven't played that map, but it's probably the same as on the older H2 maps. The only way to get rid of those is to manipulate the BSP. The easiest way of doing that, would be to extract the collision model, then manipulate the "invisible wall" in a modeling program such as milkshape 3D or 3DS Max.

I'm pretty sure there is, here is a tutorial on how to get rid of them (if needed):

use cmr and type these in as the values.
Tombstone (highplains2.map): BBB7FF9B
Desolation (derlict.map): 79BB7689

CMR isn't supposed to be discussed on these forums...
Oh, and,

If we're going to discuss a different resigner and how to use it to resign a map to the original signature, that's no different than using CMR.
