I was just wondering, hopefully its not a stupid question, but do u think it's at all possible to get the exclusive Halo 2 Vista maps, Uplift & District, onto the Xbox?

It would be a godsend to be able to convert maps from H2V to the Xbox. I think the project is dead in the water, judging by the lack of activity in the thread and the impending launch of H3.
There is a super-secret project called Prometheus that might facilitate the conversion, or at least map creation, for H2. It probably won't be released until 2011 or so, but it should be compatible with the original Halo, all the way up to Halo 6: Son of Tartarus and maybe Halo 7: Vengeance of the Arbiter's Concubine. Perhaps before then, the discoveries and breakthroughs of Prometheus will be redundantly made and publicly released instead of being hoarded in a secret catacomb of the Swiss Alps.
For now, you might be able to enjoy some of the SP-MP (single player to multiplayer) conversions in the download section. If you like large maps like Uplift and District, I suggest these mods, to name only a few:
GridIron by UpsetSpy
Pelican's Beach by UnknowingAcorn
Outskirts Wreckage by DrxThirst
Also try to get your hands on the Killtrocity map pack, which has some excellent custom maps in it, some of them very large.

If you want to know how I did something, take apart my mods.

@trance, it's being worked on, you'll just have to sit tight and wait around. It's not completely dead.
