Does anyone know of a way i can 'dim' the sun in coagulation??

im trying to make a night time mod on coagulation but i cant
figure out how to dim the lights...

can anyone help?

Make the sun dimmer? I thought the sun was a bitmap. Just skin it darker.

Dim it? Or remove it completely?

To remove it, open the [sky] tag and null out the [lens] dependency.
If you just want to dim it, you could probably open the [lens] tag in Entity's meta editor and adjust the intensity values (I'm not sure, I've never tried dimming it before).

Then use UberLightmapTool to make the map look darker. Entity's BSP viewer also works, and has a real-time preview.

Or you could just change the sky completely with that of another maps ro even make you a custom sky, that's what I would do.

To remove the sun in the sky which is not a bitmap, its a light, just null the lens flare tag in the sky tag.

ok heres what i did so far:

i changed the coag_stars bitmap so its black like night-time.
same with the moon.
and i darkened the coag_grass bitmap so it looks like night-time.

but when i said 'dim' the sun i mean as in the lighting effects.
not the way the sun looks.

but I'm going to try all of these suggestions and see what I get.

open your map in ADI, then go to the bitmaps tag. then find your_map_lightmap its at the bottom. then click the little light bulb at the buttom then just change it to 0 to make it look like night time and about 30 for dusk.

Ok, I got my lighting down but I have another question,

every time I extract a bitmap in entity and do everything needed,
i try to inject the new bitmap and this comes up:

Don't inject them with entity use dothalo.

Ok, i tried dothalo, didnt work either.
all it gave me was this:

so i tried saving it as both of these DXT1's:

Omg, use dxtbmp my friend not fotoshop.
The error says you that it has to be dxt1 so make it dxt1
Edit: sorry it says your injecting bitmap has to be Dxt5 or 4.
Look above your bitmap image you'll see dxt4/ dxt 5 wich means you have to change your bitmap that you want to inject to dxt5.

Dothalo is really weird about that. You need to start over however. In my experience if entity doesn't let you inject, your gonna have some bitmaps go corrupedy or a frozen map.

ok it worked.

it was because i didnt save it as DXT4/DXT5
..
i thought it HAD to be DXT1 because it says:

Bitmap being injected must be DXT1

...

USE ADI it changes the lightmap for you so you dont have to change the bitmaps.
