question with models

ok i can inject models into maps and all, but some are too big for my poopy computer to put in (ex. any vehicle(256 MB of RAM)) and i was wondeling could i take the plasma gernade model, extract it, edit my model, and inject it as the plasma gernade model and still use it as a warthog??

My computer sucks big ones so let me know if you got answers
