Old map problem HELP!

Post by Modtrocity »

I'm getting the old maps following a tut i downloaded from this site.

It says put halo 2 in, and in smartFTP i will see a bunch off folders (c d e f g x y z)

I put halo in, and all i see is c, e, x, y, z

What's wrong?

ok, thanks dude. Now it says to find the halo 2 folder i created in the right pane, but there's no way to navigate to it...

Screw it, this makes no sense at all.

I navigated to the folder on the left pane, then tried to drag the bink and other folders to the right pane like it said, and it says "cannot be put here" or whatever. This is pissing me off

Once you put the Halo2 disc in your disc drive. When you ftp to your xbox, there will be a D folder. That is your disc drive. Go into that and their will be all your files for Halo2. Now you can copy those to your computer then ftp them to their correct folder you created. If you have XBMC or Dvd2Xbox, that will make your job much easier.

I got the d folder now, but when I try to copy them to my computer, it says "item cannot go here" or something like that.

Open up your local browser in smartftp. Then try to drag/drop them into your local browser area. If that doesn't work. Double click the file you want to get off the disc. If it transfer's it correctly, it'll be located in your C partition on your computer.

Are you trying to rip H2 to your hdd to mod the old maps?
What dashboard are you using? Most allow you to copy files directly of the disc to your harddrive. Then you can transfer the maps from your HDD to your computer.
