Flashbang grenades...not flashing?

So I open the plasma grenade ([ligh] plasma explosion) in ADI and try to change the distance, spread, length and colours. When I play the map, the only visible change is that there is more green. I've even tried changing everything to the 100's but still no difference! I've found a couple of Halo 1 tutorials for flashbang grenades but they can't really help...
Well I guess, until I find some help, I'll have to go up to the 1000's
EDIT: Well I've gotten it to work with the flash (100 light value), but I need it to last around 5 seconds...

Try editing a lens not a light.

EDIT: Well I've still got the nice flashing effect, now I need it to stay for 5 seconds...

Edit both the plasma_grenade_explosion and the plasma_grenade_charge [lens]. I set both intensity values to 1.4E+07 and the charge's color values to 1 and got a pretty good effect. If you want to make the flash last longer, just increase the duration of the charge.

getting it to last 5 secconds is probably going to have to be done in the effect tag

Well both ADI and dotHalo gave me errors when I tried to type in E+ so I just copied it from some Banshee-related thing. I've never really tried modifying the [effe] tag but I'm pretty sure I have what I need. Thanks.

Yeah, you'll need to copy and paste all the "weird" values. You should use Entity for this, by the way. It's much easier.

Well I used ADI in the end lol, what's weird is that when I put in the values for intensity then reopened it, all the values went psycho, as long as it still works
I'm having some trouble with the effects though, is there some tutorial or guide to operate them?

Ah a trainer, I guess that's my only option...Wait, is it possible to use trainer techniques in Entity or dotHalo?
EDIT: Oh whoops, that's a .ent not .etm. Now I see, it's a plugin for Insolence
EDIT2: Ok, so where's the timer for the grenade? I can't really see any named values or anything...

No, no. It's a plugin for
Entity. Place it in 'Entity\Plugins\Halo 2\ent' and then open your map. Open the Meta Editor for your effect tag and then just follow Turk's tutorial. The values should be labeled if you updated the plugin correctly.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think those are the values you need to change.

Sweet, now I have myself a flash bang grenade, it's a bit laggy so I had better fix that up.
