I'll try to explain this best I can. I have two Halo 2's on my hard drive, one is clean, untouched. The other has fun mods on it. Is it possible to (in TDATA) somehow have the regular $C folder(where my clean halo 2 copy would find the maps) and then make a $CMODS or something, and then have my modded version of halo 2 find the new maps in $CMODS? Is it possible to have halo 2 find the new maps in any folder besides the $C folder? Basically, I'm trying to get two sets of the new maps, because I hate having to rename the $C folder everytime I want to play with a mod/play clean. Is this possible? thanks for any advice/hints/help.

Well, I have no idea what he's trying to say, can anyone simplify?
With all this confusion anyway, maybe you should just get one of those mainmenu maps that allow you to have every map you ever wanted to play.

He wants to have a separate TDATA folder for his modded game.
Now, there's no way to make it be "$CMODS" or whatever in the 4d530064 folder, but in the XBE you should be able to hex edit the 4d530064 so it references another folder (4d530065 or something). The folder would then be used by the modded game's XBE, while the regular game still goes to 4d530064.

Topic cleaned. I'm shocked that really only 3 replies deserved to stay. Let me outline this topic for some people:
