Increasing Warthog Speed?

I fairly new to modding halo 2, Ive want to make the warthog drive faster but whenever I mess with the numbers it either goes the same speed or it bottoms out and I just slide down the slope of a hill. Can anybody show me how to do this right, Making the warthog go 2x faster? Thank you.

Open your map in Entity and go into the meta editor, and somewheres in their u should be able to change the speed.

halo2 engine makes the hog really senseitive i have made a few fast hogs but its not like adding more speed and walla you have to balance out the acceleration handling the speed its quite hard for a unexperenced modder and no im not calling you unexperienced

I don't know, in dothalo i just turned the value up to 11 and I had no real trouble with handling.

Theres one value I changed that was hidden and I think it was 0.8. Sorry I can't tell you the offset but anyways I made it negative and i would go forward on the controller but go backwards in the game and then the warthog gets a mind of it's own and starts driving all over the map and sometimes ending up in a wicked spin.
No Idea what it does but it ws funny seeing the warthog spin so fast that the collsion couldn't handle it anymore.
dothalo never worked for me. It had no visable effect.

ive tried changing every value to increase the hog speed and have never achieved it >_<

seems like this is a grey area for alot of people on here, supermodder thanks for the advice. Could you give me some of the values you put in so I could try them, If you forget then thats fine. Just wondering.
EDIT: I found out how to increase the speed of the warthog. Using dothalo, go to the warthog vehicle data.
Change the following values
Human overall speed - 20
Human vehi top speed - 0.04
Thats what did it for me, weird I swear I tryed it before and never got a result. Oh well the handling is pretty bad at times and when you hit a bump you lose alot of speed but you do go faster and its fun.
