question about cloning machines

if i go into entity and then to the scnr tag then click that scenario thing then go to netgame equipment hit clone chunk and then go to machine plalette and clone a machine will it still work? ( i'm doing a mod for zanzibar and i want to make more than one working gate)

Clone machine placement chunks to spawn more machines.

The machine pallete is a list of all the machines in the map, and the chunk number is what they're referenced by in the machine placement chunks.
