real quick skinning question

when i skin, as i go further away from the object, the object with start to fade black. i cliked no mip things when i save. how do i stop this?

But by doing that your forcing the engine to use the highest quality of texture all the time.. which can potentially slow down your game.
Try it with mipmaps, and then try different programs to inject.. sorry i can't remember the best way at the moment.

well, i injeted and extracted it with dothalo, and i used its existing mip maps, but now as i go further away, it goes black suddenly, and sometimes itll go black in fp models even

Save it with 'Generate MIP Maps' on.
antszy101, as Prey said, That's a terrible solution. Everyone who suggests that is giving terrible advice. It's a very simple problem to solve, using that program to remove LODs is not the proper way to solve it. The only possible explanation for using that would be if the free programs (For people skinning with Paint or whatever) sucked and didn't support MIP Maps.

im using the plugin G.I.R. gave me on a link and im using adobe photoshop. the only way to get this to work was for me to show with mip maps, skin it all, save with existing mip maps, but its hard work
