Dissapearing files in Xbox drives

ok...I have no clue what to do about this, or what is happenning. Frist of all, my .map files were in my D drive. Seeing them through was always "touchy," but when I kept trying to see it, my computer did. I downloaded them, and quit the FTP program. When I went back to export my map into my xbox, nothing was in my D drive. I have been trying everythinkg to fix this, but nothing is working! If anyone knows how ot fix this, please let me know.
