Third person for a weapon?

Third person for a weapon?

Is there a way to make certain weapons have only 3rd person aiming?Like the missile pod/turret in halo 3?

Well within an application such as entity, no...However, if Mike decided to implement that feature into the next iteration of yelo...then yes :P
But currently, not to my knowledge. Unless you extensivley modify a vehicle.

Scotty is right, you would have to make the game think you're in a vehicle...

Is there a way to spawn players in vehicles? :roll:
I play on XLink Kai as FJGamer. (FJ is my Halo 2 profile.) I have a mic, and I love to play 8 on 8 mics versus no mics. I also love to mod Halo 2. For some reason Halo 1 won't work on system link, though.

the question is,how do you make it "think" your in a turret while still walking around like normal?

^^^that was a pointless post, anyway IMO its more like 60% inspiration...at least it should be, a lot of people seem to forget about making something inspirational :roll:

Why would it need a whole lot of scripting?
Heck, all you need is a vehicle that has two character animations...Such as the ghost. While stationary, you have reference the masterchief standing animation (and make the sentinal pose the default one). then for the moving animation, you'd give it the walking animation.
then you'd have to go to work on moving the ghost.trak to be in a good position, which would be lots of trial and error...and finally you'd give it an extra weapon so it is usable :P

there! easy! (if what I said was correct, which it does in my head :P)

That is why I suggested making the sentinal holding pose as default...Because well...When do you have no weapons to see that default pose? Rarely unless in machinima...

So changing the upper body to the pose of thwne MC is holding the sentinal beam or brute shot is what should be done IMO...

I'd really like to test this...Soon my modding will become streamlined with the xbox and a tv going in my room...So I may check it out later :P

Still, is there a way to spawn players already in vehicles? Perhaps removing the ability to get out? :? I know I could swap vehi modes with weap modes. That's a start. I just don't know how I could get collision and all that junk working properly.
