If you added the map to your mainmenu using my tutorial, just drag the mainmenu.map and the modded .map to your maps folder (Halo 2 >> maps), not the TDATA folder..

Unless you have Halo 2 on your hard drive, there's now way to add more maps. And I don't care for TDATA modding.
You can still fit Halo 2 on a stock Xbox hard drive if you copy the 'maps' folder, the 'media' folder, and the 'default.xbe;' delete the single player maps to conserve even more room.

Yes; just copy the whole maps folder with the exception of the single player maps, unless you want/have room for them.

Depends on your dashboard, but for almost all dashboards there's a Games folder located on the E:\ drive. So you would copy your maps folder, your media folder, and your default.xbe to say, for example, E:\Games\Halo 2\

Uh...Damn, what all do you have on your Xbox? o_O Cause 864kb is nowhere near enough, nor should there be that little room left on you Xbox.

You don't need to, but you could add them to the mainmenu if you wanted to play without the updates (but that would require deleting or disabling the updates in the TDATA, and I don't feel like explaining that <_<).
