Proper projectile spawning.

I remember seeing a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far, away?), someone posted proper XYZ for battle rifle projectile spawning. I searched for an hour, and I am unable to find it. (I hate when I ask a question and somebody says here the link-I feel bad)

Does anyone remeber this topic? Does anyone know the proper co-ordinates? For those who who dont know what I'm asking, if watch very closely in game, the projectile ACTUALLY comes out of master chief's forehead

. I am looking for it to appear to come out of the muzzle. Thanks.

Machinima purpose or just cause you hate looking at it shoot that way? (that question will determain the answer i give you)

I hate looking at it shoot that way. Bungie coulda woulda shoulda spent and extra 30 minutes that day.

K, in the weapon tag there are xyz values for where the projectile comes out. You just need to look for them and edit the z. Since it is the weapon tag though it also means its most likey only going to effect your shooting and in system link it will still look like it is shooting out of the head because of other peoples weapon tag being unchanged.

Well this is for a mod I am planning on releasing soon. So it will be in everyone's map. Therefor, when anyone plays it with someone, it will look proper

!! Um, anyways, about that being Z, wouldnt actually be the y? Z = up and down, with everything I've done to h2 b4. I am hoping someone remembers the proper thread.

it shoots that way so it lines up with the hud, so to fix it properly you need to edit the hud

i heard that they needed to have that happen, or the bullets wouldn't have followed through the reticle of the gun you were using.

hmm i have to say i MIGHT disagree. I played around on coag for a bit tonite, and spawned the proj in various places. Heres a pic of it spawning 0,0,20. and it werks. so im gonna try it and test it with some people.
I say i MIGHT disagre, because we will only know if some tries it, and throughly tries it.
EDIT: second pic was a headshot. I had let his shields recharge before i shot again. first pic i shot exactly where the reticle was.

the game is designed to make the bullet try to go where you are looking, that is why airstrike works. If you make it go higher it will just mean it spawns higher but it still trys to go where you look.

OK well, after a bunch more experimenting with a couple frineds, I have come to the conclusion that proj MUST spawn @ 0,0,0, OR ELSE! lol. No but seriously, when the projspawn on a Y other than 0, we get some REALLY WEIRD KILLS. SO ya. IT wont work.
