Warthog skin help

Post by theshadowofx »

I've skinned a warthog before, but this time I internalized the bitmaps. The warthog appears black until I'm right right next to it, then it slowly fades to the color I skinned it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem so that the skin is always visible? Thanks for any help.

You need the Halo 2 Machinima Companion to fix the bitmap LODs.

When saving the .dds make sure you have "Generate MIP maps" checked.

new problems

Post by theshadowofx »

I tried a different program to internalize the bitmaps this time (entity) and the dothalo to inject the new textures. The halo 2 machinima companion didn't work, so this was my next option. Any more ideas. Here are the results

Looks like corrupt bitmaps...Are you saving the .dds as dxt3?

Yeah, dtx3 for all but the hub bitmap, which dothalo said was a dtx5. I didn't generate the mip maps, so I'm doing it now, hopefully that will solve my problems.
