I noticed when I was perusing the "oldmombasa" map file that there was a tag called "crea" and that it had a title of "Creature". I went to the "scen" tag to check it out if it was being spawned through the scenario and sure enough there it was. My main question I guess would be if anybody knows whether this would work in multiplayer, and whether they would show up over systemlink. I don't need them to sync but just show up...

They do, but if you spawn them the right way, they require you to be running the AI enabler in Yelo.

That works for me... would they sync though if you had AI enabled? Just curios...

Hummm... I cant seem to get them to appear even w/ Yelo AI enabled...
I just extract from map using recursive and parsed then build it into the map I want them in, clone the creature spawning pallet from the map and add it to the scenario of new map then fix spawns riiight?
Or did I miss something?

You need to spawn them through a specific area, I don't remember where though. Ask Shade45 or Trulife.

You mean you do not use the creature spawning pallet to spawn them?

I don't remember. I do remember shade45 doing this successfully though, so you might try asking him.

I'll look for that topic...
EDIT: That didn't help...Just them patting themselves on the back...

You must first build the [creat] tag into your map,
then transfer over the "
creature spawning" reflexive in the scnr.
After you have everything in your map,
find a set of co-ords within your map to spawn your creatures.
Then open the [scnr] tag of your map in Entity's meta editor.
Scroll way down until you find the "Creature Spawning" reflexive.
(
located directly below the "Fog Pallete" reflexive)
Now input the co-ords you got from your map,
you may also want to adjust the yaw, pitch, and roll.
But, the "Quadwings" have quite an eratic flight pattern,
so the Y,P, & R don't really matter much.
Now just adjust the number of creatures you want to spawn.
And dont forget to enable AI with YELO.
Hope that helps

So I'm guessing it could be a problem with me trying to spawn a seagull instead of a quad-wing?
Because I did what you said T Beezie and it didn't work...

Beautiful.
Well, I dunno how to get the gulls it, but I'd recommend using the Quads and spawning them far off in the distance. They seem a little more Halo-ish, unless you're going for an Earth-based map...

Earth based... I'll try doing them in a clean map because I suspect they might be...whats the name for it... too much crap in the ma so they don't spawn?
