Spawning [mach]s through Machine Palette/Placement

First off, I have searched, but the one person who had the same problem as me never got an answer on it.

I am adding a mach to Zanzibar. I cloned a chunk from the Machine Palette and changed it to my mach. Then, I cloned a chunk from the Machine Placement and referenced it to my mach like so:

Now, when I load the map, it freezes at a blue screen. Did I do something wrong?

No, you did it right. I remember in the past I tried something like that but with a spacestation door. Zanzibar's machine placement allways froze when I added a chunk to it.

I think you may have to sacrafice an existing machine placement chunk or bring one from another map.

I'm starting to think it's my machine doing it. When I try to spawn it through [itmc]s it does the same thing.

whenever i clone chunks, IT FREAK'N FREEZES EVERY TIME!!! i cant get working machs in my game, i cant make more things spawn without sacrificing gernades, i can't...............DO..........ANYTHING!!!!

tomorrow, i am going to try putting a clean downloaded entity on my NOT VISTA laptop, and get a clean map from the disk. that may work. but not now, gotta wait till my dad gets home with it.......

Does anyone here have the Entity source? If I can have it, I'll add support for block index, and it'll make things a bit easier to understand.

And also, I don't think Vista has anything to do with your problems. The only people who ever had vista issues are people who use the Aero theme.

I'd suggest instead of adding a new chunk, copy the chunk from the map you got it from, then move it in the viewer.

Then I think the machine may have built in badly.
1) Try re-saving the machine from a clean map again and build it into a clean Zanzibar.

2) After that, first spawn it through netgame equipment [itmc] to see if it spawns without freezing.

3) If t DOES spawn then try to spawn it though an existing machine placement chunk to see if it spawns thadda way

4a) If so, then try clone one of the machine placement chunks.

4b) If it still freezes, you may be able to bring a placement chunk from another map like foundation or containment.

Zanzibar's machine placement is such a stubborn reflexive.

That map doesn't even have any machine reflexives to my knowledge so you'll need to bring the machine palette/placement reflexives form another map. Foundation and Containments reflexives have worked well for me in the past.

Take a look at >>>this tut<<< to add those reflexives in.

this error comes out

even if i try to (on reflexives) right-click, display idents, it comes up too. i can clone chunks, but it comes up.

EDIT: and yes, i have the stupid vista (but halo 2 vista is cool for it)

it might now be vista... is it a theme for XP? cause thats what i have, and it looks just like vista.
