Exporting .OBJ

 Ok. When i go to entity and export a model like the ghost to .OBJ i get alot of obj file like this:

ghost[0]
ghost[1]
ghost[2]

all the way to [69] in this case.. now i know you are supposed to get meny obj files but i think there is something wrong here cause i downloaded some test models from some tutorial or something i dont remember and the files there were like this:

head (0) - 341 vertices -- 594 indices

And they worked importing in 3ds max 9

But the ones i exported does not work at all. I dont get anything, the scene is totaly empty. Is there any way to fix this very annoying problem?

There is no problem. Thats just how Entity extracts models.

Well first of all.. i already have and found nothing for 3ds max 9.. and thats not really the problem.. i "can" import them into 3ds max its just that the objects dont show up when i do. I also tried importing them into other programs and the resualt is the same. If i am lucky all i can se is a VERY small object that looks like a.. well very thin and long cylinder. This is the same for most of the .obj files that i import from the ghost. I tried exporting and importing my own models as .obj files and that works perfectly.

Can one of you try to send me the "ghost[0]" or anything just so i can see if your .obj's works for me? or is that agains the rules?

Everything's good, they just forgot to multiply the vert coords by 255 when they extracted, so the extracted models are really small.

everything is not good! im telling you! even if i make it bigger all i get is a very long and thin cylinder or something it doesnt work ok?

Try using a different one of the ghost Obj.

These in my experience are the Level of detail models to prevent framerate hits.
Find and import the right Obj to the ghost for the piece you want to change. Or try something simpler like modifying a crate or other object.

Then I'd have to suggest using milkshape or another modeling program. If you continue to have troubles then it could be a video card problem.

Im sorry.. maybe im not clear even though i have told you 1003945 times.. EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS.. IT DOES NOT Work with ANY other program OR ANY other SETTINGS my vidcard is FINE!

dont get me wrong.. i DO appreciate you guys trying to help me.. its just that i already told you everything.. now im just looking for a way to fix it and i dont need another person to tell me "everything is OK" because im clearly telling you that its not! and i still wonder if anyone of you could send me a working ghost .obj file?

It looks like you didn't set the map paths. Thats most likely whats screwing everything up and is the reason your getting "Internal map not found" type errors.

In entity go to Tools > Settings and fill in the locations of your maps. Mainmenu, shared, and sp shared.

i know.. i keep getting that error but i have set the map path to all of them.

anyways.. as i said.. i tried ADI to dont get an error there and still it does not work to import the models.
