AI shot from pistol. Is it possible

Is it possible, because I set up my guns on a multiplayer map to shoot out normal elite and heretic elite and it wouldn't load the map. Oh and by the way what I did was I swapped the projectile tag with the character tag if the AI. And yes I used the YELO trainier when I was playing it.

as far IS I'VE HEARD, thats not possible. bungie only made it so that fighting bipd's were spawned immediatly when started, or at a checkpoint

well it may be possible with scripting
or u could use the flood carrier. shoot it out, kill it and have it spawn ur desired ai
problem is its very basic ai, and u'd have to change the bipd to give it a weapon
