My friend recently bought a 1terabyte hdd and he is going to make it for the xbox i dont think it will work; however, he made a 120g hdd work, he said somthing like firmwire swaps and copying the whole xboxs hdd and puting it on the new one.. or somthing like that.

ok i have done this i have a 80 gig hdd in my box so i can play all of halo

and 20 of my fav games, there is a 132 gig hdd limit due to the xboxes hardware is semi out of date i have a rpm speed of 7800 which i more then reg xbox u need a fan mod or keep top part of case off to prevent over heating, 1tb would work in xbox but the limit would only allow u to use 132 gigs of it, the only way to get around this would get 2 or more hdd's, so ya use hdmaker its easy, its not firmware its called Hdd Key see hdd's are signed to ur xbox but its easy to re lock or resign them so u can use them with that tool

You are utterly wrong. Xbox's don't have a limit of 132gb's per hdd. It's also not 132. It's 137. I believe the hdd will format the F partition up to 137 and the rest is partitioned into the G drive. I personally have a 160gb hdd and besides the required space in C, E, X, Y, and Z... I have all space partitioned into my F drive. I think this has something to do with my bios though. I've also softmodded atleast 6 xbox's. 2 of which, have a 300gb hdd in them. One having it's F drive use all the space. The other partitioned with the G drive in use. I would suggest getting your information from somewhere else before distributing incorrect info to people.
masterchief2253, I would suggest heading over to
www.xboxscene.com and checking with them over on there forums. They will supply a lot more helpful and fulfilling information than here. Or if you really need to. I will supply you with more information on this through PM's.

I didn't think there was a limit if you had a bios that supported larger then 137?GB harddrives. I know that my evox (I thinks it evox, anyways: nvm...) bios lets me have a 250GB hardrive that works flawlessly... no G:\ all to F:\ is how I have mine setup...
But yea; without changing to a technically illegal bios you cant use more then 137GB of a larger then 137GB harddrive...
