Coag Scarab help

I put the scarab gun into coagulation and I swapped the plasma rifle projectile tag with the scarab guns. Whe I went to use it in game, I didn't see and streaks but I saw a small random blue dot where I aimed and shot. Inorder to makesure I didn't mess up the plasma rifle I shot a vehicle and could tell it was shooting the scarab gun projectile. So heres the question. How do I get the projectile to be visible using either entity or dot halo?
