HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Well, I always have these cool ideas, for mods. But I can never pull them together. I'm a novice at modding, but I'm computer illiterate I just need someone to tell me how to do some of these things once...

So, If anyone doesn't mind a noob asking them some questions...I have AIM. SN is XBL Eyce. I'd really appreciate anyones help.

Also, I have a question. I was wondering which bitmaps should I skin for the mainmenu? I really want to change the look of it.

I want to make my own main menu. I was just wondering which bitmaps are the ones that matter. (To photoshop.)

explore the bitmaps... thats the best way to find what you are looking for, and you learn more too

Well I found some...but I just don't know if it's worth editing, because I don't know if it will show up.

If you edit and inject they will show. There's no "i'll edit this, inject it and it won't display". It will always. Unless of course, you corrupt the bitmap or do something stupid and just mess it up. As long as you edit and save it in the correct format you shouldn't have a problem.

Alright...I'll try some stuff out I guess with the ones I found.

Also...I was wondering is there a way to change the actual HUD? I couldn't find any bitmaps...maybe I missed them.
