Major problem with charecter import!!!

im having a Major problem in importing charecters to 3ds max.
when i try to import th needed files with the elite to 3ds max all i get is just a silly white line!
and with the Spartan i do not even get a white line.
can someone help me solve this issue please?

what are the needed files? you could be putting the wrong things in

All of my files are correct and ive tried searching Google ive been up to 78 pages with no result!

The file names are:
masterchief.arms.base.5
masterchief.body.base.5
masterchief.helmet.base.5
masterchief.legs.base.5

I have also tried it with:
.4
.3
.2
.1
(the same file names as above excluding the number in the end)

The same thing occurs with the elite.
And all the other objects (weapons.etc)

I have used these software to extract:
ADI 2.00
Dot_Halo 1.39
Entinity

This must mean that something is wrong with 3ds max

Could someone please get me the Battle Rifle model in 3ds format

You need *.obj files.
And supplying a BR model would be illegal.
Use milkshape to convert the obj.

Get the *.obj by going to the mode tag and clicking on the special options (Blue "+" symbol) ad "Export *.obj" and save it somewhere.

Believe me I have tryed this...
Its the .obj files which are not working...
