Ok i have been wondering if it is possible to make the warthog play the dixie tune? (like off the General Lee) Im kinda new to the whole modding the sounds. I know the basics but I cant figure out how to edit the sound files. I have found both sound files but I do not know how or if it is possible to edit the meta files. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Yea, you can extract and inject with this:

I edit the sounds with Sony sound forge 8.0. To find that, Google.

Yea, in sound forge, he could make the song play faster/slower to fit his needs.

LOL, well I tried a way to make a cd that has scratches on it readable. A buddy told me about it so I decided to try it.

Take hand lotion and put a little bit on your hands. Rub it in so there is just a little left on your hands. Then rub your hand over the disk so the lotion will fill in the scratches. Then wait a couple of minutes and take a towel, t-shirt etc... and gently rub it off. I didnt think it would work but it did. So now I am running xp again. Now im gonna try to open the programs that I downloaded earlier.

Ok. I think im only a few steps away from this being complete! All i need to do is change the audio type of the dixie horn to the type that xbox reads (if that makes sense ) Does anybody know if there is a program that converts wav to xbox readable wav?

I have inserted my new wav using Halo2st and using the Sony converter but when i inject it 2 things go wrong, wel ldont work.

1. When i inject it it says "You are not 1337. File will be truncated to fit space"

2. When I hit the horn button all i hear is a static type of noise

I have tried changing different sounds and injecting them into it. I changed the sound of the overshield on Ascension to play dixie but now there isnt any sound at all. What am I not doing right or not doing? The only file type that the halo2st would accept is "GSM" . When I tried to use the file type "ADPCM" it kept saying that it wasnt the right file type.
So if anybody has any insight on this please let me know. Thanks

Quit double posting, there's a reason why there is an edit button...

Anyways, I think the Custom Sounds Tutorial in the halo 2 tutorials section might help you inject that parrticullar tune.

Ok final question. Is it possible to swap sounds properties? Like you do with weapons etc... that way i can use a audio file that has a couple of seconds. The horn is only like .200 long, lol

Ok well Guess nobody knows..any suggestions would be appreciated
