i have my xbox softmoded and the new halo2 maps are all moded on my xbox i now want to mod the old maps like midship and zanaibar.how do i get them to mod or apply ppfs to.

put the maps to your xbox.

you have to have a modded dash for this!

materials-
1. softmodded xbox or harmodded (dosent matter)

2. ftp program

3. halo 2 disc

step 1.-put your game disc in the xbox.

step 2.-ftp a connection and look in the folder "D"

step 3.-you will see: maps-and inside that will be fonts, bink, media, and default exe! copy these to ur comps. desktop!

step 4.-once on your desktop delete everything out of bink (to save space, and this will also take out the halo 2 intro) keep media full, and delet all the maps that end in _001 and _002 etc, those are single player maps (will save a lot of SPACE!)

so delet all the single player maps, then keep all the rest of the maps EXEPT single_player_shared.map (this will save you A LOT of space)

the setup should be like this:

|\Bink>
Nothing in here
|\Maps>

| \Fonts>

| "all *.map files: EXEPT single player maps" (shared.map and mainmenu.map)

|\Media>

| "media files"

|default.xbe



Step 5.- FTP to your xbox and make a folder anywhere (doesn't matter where,) and name it "halo 2." Once you have done this put bink, media , maps, fonts, and default.exe in that folder

step 7.- now once that is done go to your modded dashboard and go to file explorer then go to the folder where you put "halo 2" in, then click on default.xbe, then it should boot up the game

You know I always heard rumors about old maps being hard to mod.

Then I learn this is how you do it.

Thats because the people you refer to are people on XBL who only know how to CHEAT not to mod.

So how do you reset all of the files to normal? I'm going to not delete anyhting and just replace it when I'm done i hope that works, cuz I love going on live and don't really want to waste my fifty bucks.

The only way to replace it with regular maps is to save the original maps on your hardrive.

But you should of done that to begin with in case your xbox crashed. If you only had one copy of them and now they're modded then you'll have to find the downloads from another site.
