NEED HELP URGENTLY!

Im a total noob to modeling weapons
what programs and tools would i need to model a weapon or change a previous weapon in halo 2?
then what programs and tools would i use to apply a skin to it?
can i use HMT to skin halo 2?
ive searched for a long time through tutorials and utilities but im not sure what to do and i would rather have somebody who has done it themself to show me
im guessing i would connect to my xbox with an ethernet cable?
my xfire is doctorchalupa if you can help me

3ds Max or Milkshape to name a few and Entity
Photoshop or Gimp with plugins
No thats Halo 1
Can't help you there....Tutorials always work for me

OK my xbox is completely stock
so i am going to be softmodding correct?
now i have downloaded milkshape, dothalo, and entity 1.3.9
and i got a memory card
anything else i need?

When you have that done, I suggest following this tut to model.

HMT is for PC.
Ch2r and Dothalo are good programs to use for skinning.
To make your own skins use photoshop or gimp.
Using a router to connect to your xbox is perfect. Using 2 NIC cards work as well.

Exactly. This is the HALO 2 modding forum, not the XBOX modding forum. Xbox modding info is at xbox-scene.com. I understand that you did ask other ?s about Halo 2, but all other types of ?s belong in a different forum.
In other words, do not talk about softmodding your xbox here.

in order to mod halo 2, you must also mod your xbox
i guess i shouldnt have used the word softmodding
