HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I am humbly asking for any kind of help I can get.

I'm looking to change the appearance of Master Chief. Just to use at LAN parties.

I wish to possibly retexture him to so that he has black armor with red details. However, in my (little) knowledge of games, I believe that the textures would not showup for people playing that are not on my Xbox.

So if the above is not possible I would gladly settle with just changing the color to black. Possibly by means of altering a gamesave?

if it is a texture, it would only affect your Xbox..... but ive never found the MC textures.

I found the thread titled "Game save and You" and it refers to the primary and secondary character colors.

When I open my save game up in a hex editor, I cant find anything the corresponds to what the author wrote there.

i tried to decipher that thread also... gave up after a few hours cos i couldn't find what i was looking for (no hud), and no one would tell me after i asked

I heard that Black armor was originally in the game but was taken out because it was too easy to hide in the shadows.

Im sure someone here knows how to mod a gamesave so that my character has black armor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have u thought about using action replay i can mod gamesaves and transfer ur mod to ur hard drive via memory card ,quite easy realy.

exactly, someone figured it out.. and symbols and matchmaking ranks, the actual picture could be modded also

I got action replay. I just dont know how to mod the game save/profile to get the armor the way I want.

well jeff wont work but i knoww u get ur profile form the udata/4d530064 folder.. but from there its no-mans land

I opened it in a hex editor to see if I could find the offsets but i couldnt figure it out. meh.

Meh ill just play wit the grav gun for now

the only problem with that is that players on other xboxes would see it
