I recently upgraded, and now some apps wont work.

G'day all,

i recently upgraded from my old shitty PC to a

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+
MOBO: ASUS M2R32-MVP
GFX: ATI SAPPHIRE X1950XTX 512MB PCI-E
RAM: 2GB KINGSTON DDRII 633MHZ

and i have reinstalled everything after a format including Dot Net 1.1 and Dot Net 2.0

and now CH2R wont load, it gives the error :

CH2R.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xcd0 (3280), Thread id=0xc4c (3148).
Click OK to terminate the application

Any Ideas?

and seriously... i dont wanna see no fucking fanboy posts like "AMD is shit, should have got an intel" and so on.

I would just take the time and download all the Microsoft Updates (except for IE 7.0 because I hate it

Takes me about an hour and thirty minutes going from a SP1 install to SP2 with all the updates.

There is no way in hell i am installing "Security-Hole Pack 2" on my PC EVER!

other than that, i have all the same updates that my old PC had.

any other clues?

i thaught it might have been because i was using CH2R 0.9.3 WIP, so i installed 0.9.2 and it yhas the exact same issue...

so its not a verson issue.

Sorry for the bump.... but its been 2 days....

does anyone have any other ideas? cos it is really pissing me off, both CH2R and Dothalo dont load.... and i need CH2R for Textureing, and Dothalo for Cameraman adjustments.

if you need textruing get photoshop, unless your doing some other kind of textureing.

thats kinda not the issue....

its pointless using Photoshop.... if i am unable to put the textures in the game if CH2R wont load.....

Heres what I did to fix it, uninstalled dotnet framework2 and then installed it again and it worked. Me and entity had that problem

One Idea Net framework 1&2 might be conflicting with one another uninstall 1.1 and keep 2. ATI Graphics cards are known to conflict with Entity's BSP Viewer. Off topic: visit this site Its a program that allows easy Windows mods just need Instillation Disk. http://www.nliteos.com/faq.html

I had that problem, my H2IB wouldn't work.
Try downloading this and put it in;
C:/Windows/System32
