I was just wondering how to add a whole music file to the mainmenu. I have some music that I would like to inject but they keep getting cut off because of the file size limit. I'm basicly ask is that is there a way to have an entire song play in the mainmenu that takes up 6 megabites

Doesn't it have a set length and compression rate? If so I don't know much, someone else might have an idea on how to get longer song in, it might have something to fo with chunk cloning and modifying the snd! tag, thats where I would start.

Yeah it does, I suggest lowering the quality on the song to fit it Data wise, and speed it up to fit sound wise

well if you sped the song up to fit the data size, then it's going to play fast. download goldwave and either save the file as a lower quality to fit the size or edit the song to make it the same length as the other file

Actually you might be able to slow the speed in the sound tag, check that out.

Just make it have a lower bit rate, (thats what i meant before, i was to unclear) in Power Mp3 converter. Get it at Dowload.com, it can convert multiple filetypes... the names just wierd.

I never sped up the song it just plays fast for some odd reason
when I use ch2r to play the mainmenu music it plays normal but when I load Halo 2 the music is extreamely fast. its a 6 minute song and it finishes in about 30-40 sec

Wierd, it always worked for me, but I used Main-menu app 2.0 and had to compress it and it tells you how big the songs can be.

Not too sure, I got it a long time ago. I'll look and if I can't find it I'll upload it somewhere.

Some of the in-game sounds play really slow when you listen to them in Ch2r, like the marines lines. Is this done by bungie so they play properly in the game, or is this Ch2r's problem?

Why don't you just upload it to a filesharing site so others can download it?

Because I couldn't upload for some wierd reason. If you want you can ask him, or I'll do it tomorow if I get time between getting guitar stuff, homework and a party. Which I'm not sure...
