Proj swapping question

Working on some SP to MP proj swaps... Does anyone know what the flak cannon is? What exactly is the projectile it fires, where it is in SP. Must've missed it or skipped it when I played SP.

Flak Cannon..... from what i know, its the Gauss Cannon. (back of Warthog)

actutally the flak cannon is the fuel rod gun. warthog is guess.

odd, becaus technicaly a "Gauss Cannon" isnt much different from a "Flak Cannon"
in real life that is....
Rail Gun, Gauss Cannon, Flak Cannon, all use Magnetic Acceleration to fire a big lump of metal.

Not really flak is more of an exploding shell thing that blows up all around aircraft but never hits the aircraft. Gauss is a gun powered by electromagnets giving off a pulse. Not the same thing at all.

well this isn't real life it's halo, guess is used on a turret that fires the shot and flak is used on a covi's version of the rocket launcher.

I'm not the best with spelling but yeah Gauss in halo is the turret.

The Gauss is the warthog cannon, the Flak is the FRG
