how to add maps as dlc

I really want to start modding halo 2 but i have a small problem.

I'm not ready to buy and install a bigger hdd in my xbox and there's no way I'm gonna fit halo 2 on there with all the other invaluable hacked xbox goodies I have.

First, I think i remember reading somewhere you could store halo 2 minus some files on your hdd and make it much smaller. This may work for me.

Second, mimesis seems to add maps and makes halo 2 think they are dlc. I would like to know how to do this to edited maps of my choice and think it would be the best solution. I really did look all around the forums and made a few searches but all i could find was something about editing the mainmenu. Maybe that will work, but I have no idea how to do it.

If there are tutorials on how to do things like this, a link would be great because I can't find one.

Thanks,
-Evan

for the first part, just put your h2 disc in, look on your D drive through flashxp or whatever you use, and take everything from the D drive except the single player maps which all start with a number. Take everyhting else though. Now put the files in a folder called halo2 and ftp it all back to your E drive on your box and you should have around 2 Gigs left for apps, emulators, mimesis maps, and games.

As for the second part look in the tutorials section for 'adding maps to the main menu'

Also, you can delete everything in the bink folder, and you don't need all the maps. I think you might need to ask at Mimesis about making .mcp's though.

The mimesis team will not give information as to how they re-engineered dlc for halo2 because cheaters could use it.
