Brutes

I built the brute hlmt into Turf with Entity, then went in with Insolence and made it playable. I started it up and it works fine, its just the animations for the brute are all messed up. Like it runs and walks fine, its just it won't crouch correctly. The gun its holding (in 3rd Person) is like inside of it rather than in its hand. I tried changing the jmads from brute to dervish and elite, but the map loads and keeps the brute in the respawn black screen. Any help is appreciated.

that's because it doesn't have a animation for cruching.

i dont think you can fix that, but i think there was a way that had to do with bones, or bonding boxes

you have to mess with the markers to get them to look right. Just mess with the hand markers of the brute.

When I always change MC/Elites hlmt, it always freezes when I kill them in MP, how can I fix this? Also, wouldn't adding chunks and giving the Brute a crouching animation work?

No there is no actuall raw animation data in the map of him crouching. SO you would have to make the animation, figure out how to inject it then add chunks and junk for him to have a crouch animation.

Well It isn't to hard to do, and anybody could if they just think about it for a couple minutes and look at how it works. I would do it but unfournatley nobody knows how to inject a custom animation

. Thats Brok3n Halo's next project. So I guess nobody can do it right now.

Actually that won't help make your brute crouch

. Only if there is actually a brute crouch animation located in the index of the Brute.jmad.

so sir plz explain to us how we inject custom animations. Does it have to do with finding the source of the orginal animation, then making out own, look it up in hex and then copy and paste, but really i have no idea and i just started to try hex because i see thats the only way to find new stuff even though hex sucks.

No Hex does not suck. You just suck at Hex. If there is already a brute crouching animation in the brute.jmad then it shouldent be hard at all. I am not sure why though that it woulden't be linked to crouch when the buttons are called for. However if there is no animation of the brute model crouching in the brute.jmad then it is going to become very complex and isn't possible at the moment. Me myself have no clue how to inject a custom animation. Nor does anyone else. However if custom animation injection was possible it really wouldent be that hard to accomplish a crouching brute. Also since I have no Modding tools because I am on vacation in alaska I can't help dig through the brute.jmad.
Good Luck

Yes very true, very true, it's just that in one of your posts you kinda sounded like you knew how to inject custom animations, and i jumped at the thought of having that since that would make mods awesome.

I still say to try to make the brutes beserk animations its crouch animations, they're close enough.
