i dont think he want's to know how to netwrok them, but rather "how it works" in wich case i can give him a basic idea, but first, im no master so if someone else says something else they are probable right. your xbox sistem link cable is a crossover cable wich is used to connect two of the same things (2 windows xp computers, 2 xbox's, 2 windows 98 computers, ect.) if you buy a crossover cable then u can use it as a systemlink cable and basicaly a eathernet cable is the same thing as a crossover cable execpt two of the wires on the end's are switched and that is how u tell the diference, look at the end of a eathernet and the end of a crossover and u can see it.

how does "multiplayer" work, of course i know how to connect my xbox to my computer that play xlink,xbc,xbl but i want to know how the code in halo 2 allows you to join other peoples games, play with them, talking, etc etc
