Help editing .dds images w/ photoshop... How to get border?

I've been fooling around with photoshop lately trying to get the silver border/cut-off corner look on my preview images and have had absolutely no luck.

Could somebody please go through the steps with me on properly formatting these to look like the rest of Bungie's?

I've got Photoshop 7 if it matters. Thanks for any help.

Oh sweet. Thanks.

One question though... When the image is actually shown on the xbox, will the corner be gone? That little section is filled with the pic, while it should be checkered with the white and grey. Do I have to delete the corner manually or... what's supposed to happen here?

Paste an image, then select what you pasted, then goto the masked layer, right click on the mask, and Subtract mask from selection. Then goto the layer with your image, and hit delete, then save as DDS.

Actually Monkey, that didn't quite work.

I thought it did, it saved and I saw the border in Photoshop. However when I got back from tennis camp and actually went to put it in the mainmenu, the whole image appeared scrambled. It was cut in 4 sections and was running diagonally.

I am still able to put non bordered images in the mainmenu sucessfully. Sorry to bring up an old topic....

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
