The LONGSWORD

Is there anyway to be able to fly a longsword!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'd imagine that there would have to be, it's on the game, and it's in every tag but the vehic tag, if it were in the vehic tag it would make things much easier.
Now i could just switch the models with a banshee but i wouldnt get all the animation and sound and collision that i'd like.
there is an hlmt tag as well as a scen both of them have the same objects/vehicles/longsword/longsword/ or somthing like that
but when i look in the vehicle tag theres nothing there

i try and import the hlmt and put it in the map but i get black screen and i'm not able to see it in the bsp viewer either

o ya and a longsword is a human space fighter ship

You can swap the Banshee Model for the Longsword Model, that's about it.

in halo 1 the longsword was completly useable... the door could open / close, you even had an intorier dashboard and everything, but in halo 2, you see it in 1 cutscene for about 5 seconds, so bungie just made it as a static model, no animation exectpt the blinking light, and thats it.

so its just a model, the banchee idea would be the only way.

You mean put the Halo 1 model into Halo 2? That's called ripping and it's bad.

Ripping is a touchy subject.

Don't release ripped objects to the public at halomods. It doesn't work well here.

I can't wait to see what the new entity has in store for models and bsp's and other awesome shiznat.

I think prometheus is a conspiracy now... Entity is the realistic pimp. :D

Too bad the long sword was ditched in halo2.

Why would you bring the exact same model(a few minor differences) into halo 2?

Regardless of the ethical downside, how would you go about doing that? Because I have a model I'd like to stick into Halo 2...
EDIT: Can I like extract it as a meta from my original halo map (say, the Xbox version to make sure I can open it correctly) and import it into a halo 2 map over something else?
