Spectator Mod

Background on what I'm looking for;

I am the founder of a group who will be hosting tournaments for Elite players in gametypes designed for the player model. These are online-held tournaments (due to our players coming from multiple regions and us having no cash to bring together LAN's).

What we are looking for, to keep fair balance in our matches, are dedicated servers (and maybe with this idea, an in-game referee). On of our Staff (who is also a modder) brought up the idea of using mods to force host on a player who well remain high and out of the way. The advantages of this is that we can have a Staff member (we have multple modders in this group's staff) be the referee of an official tournament match. This referee will have host (eliminating host advantage for players) and the ref can also watch over the match, making sure all rules are followed.

Now, my questions are:

1. Are there any mods that are something like a "Spectator Mode" mod where our Referee/Game Host can just float around the map unnoticed and not cause any change in gameplay (meaning they are invisible, have no collision, have no HUD, and/or can fly)?

if not

2. What would you suggest as a great mod that would fit my needs?

--------------------

Thank you for reading this post and thanks in advance for helping me out with this.

Viggy

You could always use xbox7887's dev cam trainer for Halo 2. It works better than the specatator mods in opinion. The only con is that you would have to hide the cameraman quickly so he doesn't interfere with the game.

Thank you. I'm passing this information on.

But, just to be sure, is there no way to make the Host (the modder) not interfere with the game (i.e. remove collision model, make completely invisible, or at least able to fly out of the way)?

Hmmm, well, um...you could make MC's jump hight really high, so when he jumps, he touches the top of the map in one jump (the invisible barrier) and also make it so MC can fly. That way, when he jumps in the air, he will stay in the air. So you're up high, and you won't interfere with the game, then you can just look down at all those little fuckers playing and make sure none of them are little fuckers. But everyone also has to know that ur the ref and you'll me using mods. Hope that helps, or maby gets you thinking of some ideas.

There a couple ways to do this, the one mentioned above me would work just fine, the modder will just have to jump straight up a few times as fast as possible and just hide. You could also make the spartan Bipd invincible and make him fly. And then tell everyone not to shoot the spartan.

A way to make sure the spartan/ref is host, is have him host the game.

Yeah, but when you make the MC biped invincible, it makes all MC bipeds on the map incincible, not just you, so you'll have to use a trainer. I have a trainer that will make you invisible, invincible, and really tiny, then you could just mod the map yourself to make you jump really high and fly. It's perfect. I'll make a post in the file fourms later about Halo 2 trainers and send you the link, OK.

These are Elite only matches anyway so we wouldn't have to worry about players being invincible.

The trainer idea sounds good too though. If I could use that, it would help.
