I'm not a modder so I will just submit my idea. I think a good idea for a new map would be a kind of ruined Mogadishu, Somalia (You know...where Black Hawk Down happened) except with pelicans and some kind of VTOL vehicle (Vertical Take Off and Landing...like a helicopter) and the covenant vehicles. With marine bodies around with guns next to them istead of just putting the guns somewhere (Covenant bodies for covenant weapons) if you use my idea let me know how production goes...and let me know your using it...feel free to change some concepts.

Pelicans are VTOL. The are like the helicopters. At least from my recollection.

Yes a pelican is a VTOL but I mean an attack VTOL.

sounds good, but is it possible to have the pelican not flip around? and make it slc, cuz when i use the slc pach it doesn't work with the pelican

There is no way to get the Pelican to stop flipping. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You could spawn one of those control briges and the spawn the pelican on top of that. The pelican has full mach collision. Think of the bridge like a runway I guess. 'Course that would defeat the point of the pelican being VTOL.

so if its spawned on a bridge it won't flip???? that would be kick ass

Any mach should work. I'm pretty sure. If you just want a static model you could always just spawn it like scenery.

Which thing do you doubt? The scenery or the mach spawning? Spawing on top of mach will work. I'm 95% sure. The scenery thing is just conjecture. I don't know much about SLC, so someone else can help. It has to do cloning chunks in reflexives.

Sounds like a really good idea, allthough i don't think it would be possible to make an entirely new map do to the collision, but you could like change the sking and models from headlong?
o ya and if anyone can do collision, if you would send me a pm it would be much appreciated

I think there's research into the phmo tag about vertices. They may be able to make a non-flipping pelican now, but I'm not entirely sure on that.

Who said anything about headlong? Just get a control_bridge from Delta Control under SP, and PMI that in, spawn it under the pelican and it will sit very nicely. Of course it will still flip if you land elsewhere. I know it works: I did it last night. As far as PHMO changes go, it'll be a while before we can really change the PHMO model. I think.
