ok,lyke,i got it softmodded(but now i lost connection to Live)but where do iget mods,and how do i get then on my xbox.I have action replay

omfg... where did he say he's cheating??? It's attitudes like that that piss me off. Can't even help a fellow modder-to-be. He's obveously a newbe whe just figured out how to soft mod and it just worked and now he's excited. He probable didn't know he'd get banned if he tried to sign onto live with a modded box (or he didn't turn autosignin off).. he learned.

I'm not against not helping cheaters (I refuse to) but just because the words "live" and "mod" are used in the same sentance doesn't mean the person is a cheater.

Anyway, Yeah, go to the files forum. Also, if you have action replay you can download some mods off of that. I know there's a flying pelican and phantom one because I used to have them before I actually modded my box.

Yeah, I did that once. I was okay with it when I thought I had gotten banned form Xbox Live, since I used to play Halo too much anyways...

Yeah, my xbox is banned... I got curious.

Didn't know if it banned the acount or the box (I thought it was the account).

I know there's a way you can unban youself but I haven't been able to find the tut for it again (I think it's on the x3 site).

My main account was supposed to expire yesterday, since it had a cancelled credit card on it, but it says that it automatically renewed, and I can still sign in with it...

I think that happened with mine too... My mom lost her card and canceled it but it still renewed the account =S. I have it for the 360 soley since I'm banned and it says I can't buy stuff from the online store with that card but it renewed the subscription...

well sites usally ban you and reconize it's you with ur ip adress so im guessing if you change that and unistall the soft mod ur set for xbl

No... it's got to do with some number in you eeprom and there was a tut on how to change that because that's what live bans when your box is banned. I have a new IP since I was banned anyway.

Im not sure if that is entirly true. I heard a lot about not banning your acount but just banning your xbox. I believe its both (or just your account). I went on live with a mods(custom games not matchmaking, im not a cheater) anyway i got banned(i knew i would). I wasnt worried about getting banned because i heard so much about the banned xbox idea. But i log on my 360, get into halo, and to my surprise i was still banned on my 360. So...?

so twista, you softmodded and lost connection to live?

this sounds like you used Slayers disc (or somethiing like that), and now have "Sign In Protection" basicly it wont sign in while the softmod is active to prevent your XB being banneed.

i also belive that this topic should be on http://www.xbox-scene.com as it has absolutly bugger all to do with halo 2 modding.

Those are the two types of bans. You probably got banned from halo (which is an acount ban) AND banned from Live (which is an xbox ban generaly). The reason your 360 works is because all bungie can do is ban you from halo matchmaking.. nothing more. Live banned your box.

I'm in the same boat but I don't have my account banned because I use my 360 for playing halo matchmaking or xboxlive and my modded box for mods and syslink.
